The last couple of months, I've been following the developments on multi-touch technology. The first video that inspired me was from adobe. This video explains the technology behind multi-touch and gives you a good idea on the possiblities and limitiations. The surface table from microsoft is more concept oriented and adds mobile devices in the mix. Other cool examples include the iBar and city wall. See videos for inspiration!
There's a lot of talk on home-brew projects and software development at
www.nuigroup.com. They've got a nice blog on new developments and multi-touch systems in the wild. They also host touchlib, open-source software for creating a multi-touch display.
